Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Minneapolis on I-94

The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Interstate 94 in Minneapolis Sunday night.According to authorities, the incident happened at about 9 p.m. on the interstate near Broadway Avenue.

The state patrol said 26-year-old Sergio Silva, of Faribault, was on a motorcycle and traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the interstate when he crashed head-on into a Kia Stinger.

Authorities said the 48-year-old driver of that vehicle was not hurt.

Silva was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
